Kornélia’s musical education began very early. In fact as a young 7 year old she was already learning the piano and singing solo and in the choir of the specialized music primary school that she attended in her home town of Bekescsaba .

Having discovered her talent for singing her music teachers encouraged Kornélia to seek further training in Budapest. After completing her secondary education there, she enrolled in the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy first graduating as a Teacher of Solo Singing and Master Concert Singer in 1994 and later in 1997 graduating with a Master’s Degree in music in singing and in teaching singing and opera singer(honours) from the Opera Faculty.

In 1998-1999 she was the recipient of the French Government scholarship to the E`cole Normale de Musique de Paris working with Mme Edith Selig, where she was awarded a Diplome Concertist du Chant.
In 2001-2002 she was again the recipient of a scholarship this time offered by the Italian Government to attend the prestigious G.Verdi Conservatorio di Milano working with Vittorio Terranova and Adele Bonay.That same year she continued her studies in the Conservatorio after receiving the Hungarian Government’s annual youth excellence scholarship.
She has participated in master classes with Dame Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge in Budapest, Katia Ricciarelli in Desenzano, Regine Crespin in Paris, and Renato Bruson, Julia Hamari, Anna Reynolds, Walter Berry, Walter C.Moore and Sylvia Sass in Budapest.
